A Christmas of Firsts

I've been off the grid for a few days over Christmas and New Year, but I'm back and I have so much to share with you. Christmas 2007 was incredibly memorable. Here's why:

1. It was the first Christmas with the next generation of my family. Benjamin Thomas Khuu really enjoyed the gift wrap.
2. It was my first Christmas as a married woman. Which, actually, made little difference to the experience.
   
3. It was the first time in 21 years and 2 months that I have vomited. I picked up gastro from somewhere on the evening of Christmas Eve. Did you hear that? 21 years and 2 months! That's a record that surpasses even Seinfeld's 13 year no-vomit streak.
   
4. It was the first Christmas where I did not partake in turkey, or any food really.
   
5. It was the first Christmas where I have lost 5 lb rather than gained 5 lb. And I'm ok with that.
